Road Closures

Pearse St and Kenyon St. will be closed to traffic on
Sunday April 22nd.  Please use alternative routes.
Visitors to the event are advised that there is plenty
of car parking space at the railway station
and the court house.

The Visit Nenagh Classic will bring Continental style one day racing to Nenagh and indeed Ireland on April 22nd.  This promises to be a day's racing with a difference for both participant and spectator alike.  In the best tradition of the Belgian and Dutch Classics the routes offer a variety of terrain with a number of sharp challenging climbs.  The routes also travel along the new N7 cycle lanes between Nenagh and Limerick

The Visit Nenagh Classic will feature many of Ireland's leading riders, male and female, and coming as it does just 4 weeks before the An Post Rás it will offer our leading riders an ideal opportunity to test their form.

The event will also offer the spectator many opportunites to see the race as it loops and turns a number of times within a short distance. In association with the race the town will also host a continental style food fair, a "Fun Family Cycle," street entertainment, live music and lots lots more.  For participating riders, be sure to bring your family with you! Participation in The Visit Nenagh Classic

The Visit Nenagh Classic is an international cycle road race, promoted under the rules and regulations of Cycling Ireland. To participate you have to hold a current and valid racing license from Cycling Ireland. If you are not a Cycling Ireland license holder it is possible to participate in the A4 race (54km) , which is a novice category, for that event you can purchase a "one day license" from Cycling Ireland if you are not a current license holder. Registration takes place on race day from 9am @ the Abbey Court Hotel in Nenagh....more
